Behaviour and Discipline Policy
Kavyapta Global lays emphasis on self-discipline as discipline plays a vital role in holistic development of a student. It is our aim to imbibe in each student, a sense of accountability, good etiquettes, moral and ethical values along with the skill to respect & learn to live together in harmony and peace. In view of the above, the school has the following policy to inculcate a sense of discipline among the students, while adhering to the strict guidelines against corporal punishment mandated by the CBSE, prioritizing a supportive and conducive learning environment. It entails training oneself to adhere to rules and maintain systematic habits.
Aims and Objectives
- Promote positive attitude towards their roles and responsibilities, including the expectation that we have of each member of the school community.
- Develop a culture of friendship, kindness, empathy and their moral and ethical character and enhance their sense of good citizenship.
- Increase and raise student’s behaviour awareness and encourage them to respect themselves and others all well as the school and public laws.
- Create a stable, secure and disciplined school community and minimize any unacceptable behaviour.
- Create a proper educational and learning environment suitable for students, teachers and administrations, in order to achieve the goals of education and learning.
The following disciplinary measures will be adopted by the school.
- Counselling by the Teachers/Health and Wellness Mentor/Level Managers/Principal/Director
- Disciplinary Actions Slips and Disciplinary Cases- Parents must be properly informed.
- A student may be placed in a Time-out Program for Misconduct– Behaviour that disrupts teaching and learning.
- Positive Bee Assignments- for groups to promote positive attitude towards their roles and responsibilities.
- Withdrawal of bus facility for non- adherence to bus rules or misbehaviour in the school bus (Parents will be responsible for picking them up and dropping them to school in this case).
However, the Principal retains the right to suspend or expel a student out right if the offence is of a very serious nature. The Principal will have the right to withhold the character certificate of any student whose conduct is not keeping with the rules laid down by the school.
A student may be placed in a Time-out program as directed by the Principal for the following cases:
- Unexplained absences
- Repeated late arrivals/Reporting late to class
- Missing or bunking classes/assemblies etc.
- Constantly interrupting the teaching process
- Indulging in rude and unacceptable behaviour in class
- Irregularity in submission of school assignments
- Disrespecting or answering back to the teacher
- Repeated defaulter in bringing required material for learning to school
- Regularly moving out of designated space and disturbing his/her class-mates
- Not following instructions and disobeying class-rules
A student may be issued an Action Slip or Disciplinary Cases recorded keeping Parents informed for the following cases:
- Abusive or inappropriate language toward peers and teachers
- Inappropriate uniform turnout/inappropriate haircut
- Carrying mobile phones or gadgets to school
- Using unfair means in the assessments or examination
- Littering the class room space/school or bus spaces
- Breaking or misuse of peer or school property
- Aggressive behaviour/bullying/breaking school rules
- Providing false documents (e.g. signing letters without the permission or knowledge of parents)
- Non-adherence to bus/conveyance rules
- Indulging in inappropriate behaviour on social media
Student group may be given Positive Bee Assignments to promote positive attitude towards their roles and responsibilities where a group of students or a class engages in any inappropriate behaviour.
Student needs to follow the Student Code of Conduct
Continuous counselling will always be focused by our Teachers/Health and Wellness Mentor/Level Managers/Principal/Director to improve the overall behaviour of our students and develop their sense of accountability.
Kavyapta Global School prohibits any school administrator or teacher/teaching or non-teaching staff to use any of the following ways for applying disciplinary action against a student:
· Any type of physical punishment.
· A teacher lowering or threatening to lower a student’s grades.
· Giving a student more school work.
· Making fun of or insulting a student in private and/or public.
· Depriving a student of using toilet facilities and/or of food.

Safeguarding Policy
Kavyapta Global School is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children, staff and visitors, promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their own safety or the well-being of others.
We aim to safeguard and promote the welfare of children by protecting them from maltreatment; preventing impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development; ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and acting to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
Our core safeguarding principles are
- We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, including early learning years.
- We endeavour to provide a safe and happy environment where children are valued and their dignity is met.
- We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect as children must learn in a safe and secured environment to be successful learners.
- Guidelines and practices ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.
- Policies and practices are reviewed annually and as need be.
- Establish and maintain an ethos where children feel secure and are encouraged to talk and are listened to.
- Ensure that children know that there are adults in school who they can approach if they are worried or in difficulty
- Include in the curriculum activities and opportunities which equip children with the skills they need to stay safe
